Ok peeps, several guys have asked me after only chatting for a few minutes if I had a Cam. I do have one, it's not connected, but what I want to know is "do you go visual with someone you just started chatting with?". I know it only takes a min to hook it up, but I just feel as though it may be too soon to do that and I don't know the person on the other side of the computer.

When I had my profile up and I was looking I didn't use the cam until I knew them well. If they wanted proof that the photos on my profile were me I would send more photos and I would ask him to to do the same. There was one exception....there was this guy who had professional model type photos on his profile. I asked him for some candid ones and he didn't have any and his camera was busted so he couldn't take any. The professional photos looked like the ones that come in new photo frames.   more...

I have set up a separate account just for this purpose, that way you can check them out better and they still do not know any personal details.

The thing about "just checking" on cam is this...it would require that you share your personal address. Why would you want to even go that far with someone that may not be who they might say they are?

I would have thought that you would want to use your cam,going by what i read in one of your other blogs. You would know instantly if he looks the same as he does in his photo,and is who he says he is.You can always switch ur cam off,after a couple of minutes  more...

Definitely wait until you're comfortable with it ... there's nothing wrong with a little anticipation and a little time to see if you're connecting in other ways first.

I normally don't use my web cam. I only use my web cam spairingly. If I really know the person for a while then I might.As for the other person using one. I have had a few interesting sessions.I shall say it was an eye opening experiance and a little too much infomation, too soon.

To me using the cam is nearly like inviting them home for coffee. Its way too personal and not something I want to do with someone I didn't know and had just met. I would need have know them bit longer and have developed some level of trust with them.

Don't do it...well don't do it until you two have been in a "friendship" for a while. When I was knew to the online thing, I didn't know any better but quickly learned. I was so excited when I got my web cam to talk to family. And then guys started asking if I had one..again all excited and I would say yes and get on it.

Of course it would only take 4 more seconds before his hands would not be visible (if you're lucky) or his "privates" would would make an appearance. No  more...

I rarely, if ever, admit to having a cam. Most of the men I have chatted with only want to see flesh and I get tired of them asking, so I say No right away to a webcam.
